Priyanka Chopra thanked Anubhav Sinha for praising her success. She also happened to mention Anubhav's movie 'Thappad' and said that it is better to hit people with your work than with the 'thappad'.

Anubhav congratulated Priyanka for bagging the multi-million dollar deal with Amazon Prime. With the deal, Priyanka Chopra would work with them for two years.

Thanking Anubhav for the praises, Priyanka tweeted, "Thappad nahi.. kaam se maaro.. lol. Thank you @anubhavsinha for the support.." Actor Adhyanan Suman also replied, "Keep inspiring us," on the conversation.

While announcing the deal, Priyanka had said, “My quest really is to be able to tell female stories, work with creators from around the world and create a cross-pollination of storytelling. Amazon is such a great partner to do that because their reach and outlook is so global. My Amazon television deal is a global deal, so I can do Hindi language, I can do English language, I can do whatever language I want.”

Priyanka had already collaborated with Amazon on two Television projects previously - 'Sangeet', co-produced by her husband Nick Jonas, and 'Citadel', which is the Russo brothers' spy series. Apart from that, Priyanka is working with Netflix on 'Sheela', where she would play Ma Anand Sheela, and 'The White Tiger' opposite Rajkummar Rao. The actress was also shooting for 'The Matrix 4' before it came to a halt after COVID-19 pandemic.
