Tamil Nadu: 4 cops arrested in Tuticorin custodial death case, locals celebrate

According to the latest information, the CBCID has so far arrested four accused including an inspector of Sathankulam and two sub-inspectors Bala Krishnan and Raghu Ganesh. Jayaraj, 59, and his son Benicks, 31, were lodged in Kovilpatti sub-jail for keeping their mobile phone shop in Sathankulam area open during the lockdown. They were allegedly beaten up in the locker. The duo was admitted to Kovilpatti government hospital on June 22. While the son died on the same night, the father passed away a day later.
