Daily sports briefs | Jurgen Klopp's affinity for the All Blacks, Jose Mourinho moaning again and Bryson DeChambeau's bulky diet.

KLOPP INSPIRED BY ... ALL BLACKS

Siya ... time to throw away that Liverpool shirt that Jurgen Klopp gave you when he visited Cape Town last year after Klopp revealed that a documentary he watched on the ALL BLACKS in his earlier coaching days inspired part of his philosophy.

"As long as you wear this shirt, less than 100% is not allowed. It's not my phrase. It came from the All Blacks. I saw that in a nice documentary for the All Blacks and I kept that always for myself. I was completely impressed by these big fellas and how they spoke. These guys, these pretty impressive guys, just spoke about their past, what it meant to them to play for this team. That is for each LFC player and me the same. That is what we try to live."

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Fair enough ... the ABs have been dominant for a very long time. That said, Rassie has instilled a hungry but humble philosophy within the Bok squad epitomised by our great captain Siya Kolisi.

JOSE NEVER HAPPY

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho, notorious for complaining about fixture congestion, is now moaning about having TOO MUCH time between games. Seriously?? Did we hear that right?

"It's not good for us, it's too long,' he said. 'I'd always say three days is the perfect time between matches. Two days? No. But more than three days, especially when you are chasing your best form. So I'm not happy to be waiting for so long. After victories you don't need time to rest, you don't need recovery time, you need to play."

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: So what Jose is actually suggesting here is that the Premier League schedule fixtures around the "Special One's" team and their current form. If his team is playing badly, give them more time between games, if they are playing well, give them less time.
Now that really is special.

A GOLFER'S DIET

Want to hit the ball further? Try the Bryson DeChambeau diet. DeChambeau is currently dominating the driving distance stats on the PGA tour after packing on an additional 20kgs or so over the past year. We mentioned in a previous "Daily Shot of Express-o" that Bryson didn't require a GPS navi to locate his fridge but what exactly is he munching on these days? On an average day he is smashing around 3 500 calories of food which include: seven protein shakes, four eggs, five rashers of bacon, steak and potatoes, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a few snack bars.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Swap the protein shakes for beers and the snack bars for biltong and you have the average South African golfers' diet right there.
