FALL RIVER -- Police are investigating a shooting last week that left a 22-year-old man injured with a non-life threatening bullet wound through his hand.

Police spokesman Lt. Jay D. Huard said the alleged victim, whom he declined to identify, got a ride to Saint Anne’s Hospital emergency room around 11:07 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, when hospital staff notified police.

The man was uncooperative with police and refused to give details on how he got the bullet wound. Huard said the alleged victim gave police multiple locations where the shooting occurred.

Police searched several residences where he may have lived and security cameras at the locations he named, but found no evidence of a shooting, Huard said.
