Union minister and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad have reacted to the decision to ban Chinese mobile apps. He called the banning of Chinese apps a digital strike. Addressing BJP's digital rally in West Bengal on Thursday, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, 'India wants peace. But if someone takes a bad look at us, we will give a befitting reply. We have protected the data of the countrymen by banning China's applications. It is a digital strike.
Information and Broadcasting Minister at the Center, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that 'India is an advocate of peace but if someone turns a bad eye on us, we will give him a proper answer'.
He said, 'Now you are just hearing about two' C '- Coronavair and China. We believe in peace and negotiation to solve the problem, but if we have an eye, we will also give the right answer. If our 20 soldiers have given their lives, then it is double the number on the Chinese side. You must have seen that they have not released any figures on their behalf.

He also targeted the CPI (M) over the ongoing tension between China and India. Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "Why the CPI-M does not criticize China?"
India had banned 59 Chinese apps on Monday, including the very popular TikTok and UC Browser. These sanctions are imposed amidst the current tense conditions with Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control in the Ladakh region. The banned list includes WeChat, Beago Live, Hello, Likey, Cam Scanner, Wego Video, MI Video Call - Xiaomi, MI Community, Clash of Kings as well as the e-commerce platform Club Factory and Shein.
At the same time, a day after India stopped 59 apps related to China for indulging in activities that hurt the sovereignty and integrity of the country, China expressed concern over the move and said that the Government of India is being legitimized by international investors and It is the responsibility of protecting legal rights.
