Pune: Sexual assault charges pressed against city-based Karate teacher

A 42-year-old Karate instructor in Pune was pressed with molestation charges of a 17-year-old girl on Tuesday. The alleged assault took place on the morning of June 9. The victim who’s a college student pressed charges after consulting her parents and lodged an FIR at the Sahakarnagar police station after which the Karate instructor was arrested. 

The victim gave a detailed description of the whole incident. According to her statement, the alleged molester was the victim’s martial arts instructor for the past six to seven months. He had the phone numbers of all his students. Further in her statement, the victim said that she was asked to go to an open space located in Balajinagar. The instructor had called her for fitness training, she added. Upon reaching the location, the alleged offender touched her inappropriately.
