In a tweet, Rajinikanth demanded strict action against the brutal cops responsible for the death of Jeyaraj and his son Bennicks. "Even after killing the father and son brutally without humanity the cops disrespected the magistrate who visited the police station to conduct an enquiry. All cops involved in this brutality should be severely punished and no one should be spared."

The Kovilpatti Judicial Magistrate’s enquiry report on the deaths of Jayaraj and Bennix revealed that the duo was physically tortured by the Sathankulam police through the night of June 19 and into the next morning.
