2020 Honda City driven: Now in pictures

The new Honda City has a lot to offer, starting from a brand new face to in-tech car features we all had been waiting for.

Inspired by the Japanese Katana blade, a distinctive shoulder line with low profile enhances stance. A bit bulked-up than its predecessor, Honda City gets a new pair of headlights and wrap-around tail lamps.

The design has been evolutionary, leading to an increase in length and breadth. In fact, the biggest sedan in the segment, this translates into a generous amount of room inside the cabin.

The 5th generation Honda City offers luxurious and sophisticated interiors. Based on Honda’s ‘man maximum and machine minimum’ concept, the sedan offers a clutter-free and open feeling to the passengers. The well-bolstered seats offer a plush feel.

Connectivity and infotainment have also been updated. The new Honda City is the first car in India, which is equipped with Alexa remote capability.

The 5th gen Honda City is powered by the latest 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC with VTC (Variable Valve Timing Control) petrol engine to deliver high fuel efficiency and exceptional driving performance. The engine is mated to the all-new 7-speed CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission). The legendary I-VTEC engine is smooth, refined and highly efficient in BS6 homologation. Honda City is also offered in diesel-manual option.

The low slung profile offers excellent grip around the corners with minimal body roll. The ride quality is also plush, flattening the roughest surfaces with ease. The new steering unit is well weighed and confidence-aspiring.
