KURUKSHETRA: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA)-I of Kurukshetra police on Monday arrested a man after recovering 300 gram opium from his possession.
Police said the accused was identified as Praveen Gupta of Kuber Colony in Thanesar. Praveen was presented in a local court on Tuesday, which sent him on a two-day police remand.
Meanwhile, on the complaint of sub-inspector (SI) Devender Kumar, a case has been registered against Praveen under Section 18 (punishment for contravention in relation to opium poppy and opium) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Thanesar City police station (PS) on Monday.
