GURUGRAM: A total of 102 people tested positive for
Covid-19 in the city on Monday, taking its case count to 5,260. Six people also succumbed to the infection, taking the city’s Covid toll to 90.
“All those who died were men. While four were aged 32, 67, 75 and 85, two were 68 years old. All had
comorbidities. The 32-year-old man also suffered from type-2 diabetes,” said Dr Jai Prakash, district surveillance officer.
Gurgaon has the highest number of Covid deaths in
Haryana, followed by
Faridabad, which has reported 75 deaths so far.
As many as 135 people have recovered from the disease in the city, and the total number of recoveries stands at 3,882. The recovery rate in the district has improved to 73.8%.
So far, the health department has sent 31,037 samples for testing, out of which 24,846 have returned negative. The number of active cases in the district is 1,288.
Meanwhile, 134 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Faridabad on Monday, taking its tally to 3,588. Two other people died from the infection too.
