India recorded more than 4 lakh Covid-19 cases and over 12,000 deaths from the virus in June alone, which was by far the worst month of the outbreak in the country. While the number of cases was 2.7 times higher than those reported during the previous month of May, the number of deaths was 2.8 times higher. In May, India had reported just over 1.5 lakh cases and 4,267 deaths.

He said that due to Corona, for now, there's no plan to conduct Gram Panchayat elections in Haryana. He said state govt may consider conducting elections in Jan, Feb 2021 after completion of tenure of present Gram Panchayat, provided Covid situation is under control.
