The district administration has reopened these centres in the non-containment zones and has requested the officials to hand over the documents to the students in the least possible time.
Pune: Are you planning to enrol yourself to a professional course, but are worried about gathering the documents needed for it? Now, you simply need to visit a citizen facilitation centre (Maha E-Seva Kendra) and get your domicile, caste or non-creamy layer certificate. The district administration has reopened these centres in the non-containment zones and has asked officials to hand over certificates to students in the least possible time.
Students can also apply for the certificates through the Aaple Sarkar portal and can upload all documents necessary on the portal. These uploaded documents and photographs are received by the revenue department, scrutinised and then the certificate is issued.
In Pune city, there 68 Maha E-Seva Kendra while Haveli taluka has 69 such centres. Most of the centres in Haveli taluka are functional, while Pune city has a large part under containment zone category, so the number of functional centres here is less. Students residing in containment zones are required to apply for their certificate through the portal.
Sunil Koli, Tehsildar Haveli said, "Since two months these centres were closed, but now they have been reopened. We have received more than two thousand applications from students so far. We are striving to deliver their certificates as early as possible."
Trupti Kolte-Patil, Tehsildar, Pune City said, "Except the containment zones, citizen facilitation centres (Maha E-Seva Kendra) have been started elsewhere in the city. Students can apply through these centres. Students can also use the AapleSarkar portal and apply online. Considering the rush to get certificates, we have deployed adequate manpower at the offices. We have planned to give certificates to students as early as possible."
Sanjay Bhosale, Nayab Tehsildar, Haveli said, "The district administration has fixed charges for each certificate. The rate card is displayed at each Maha E-Seva Kendra. Students or anyone should not pay more than these fixed charges. If any official or staff is demanding more money. students should register their complaints with the Tehsil office."
"If for any reason, a students application is rejected he or she should not fall prey to any fraudster as there is no other mechanism to issue certificates. Students can call tehsil office and get their queries resolved," Bhosale said.
