Govt goes strict on China: Tik Tok, UC Browser, other Chinese apps banned, says report

Apps like Tik Tok, UC Browser and other Chinese apps are included in the list, tweeted ANI.

Chinese app TikTok is quite popular among the younger lot for making and posting short videos.

Post protests from all quarters to ban Chinese apps that allegedly snoop on user data, the Government of India has decided to ban 59 mobile apps, ANI reported. Apps like Tik Tok, UC Browser and other Chinese apps are included in the list, tweeted ANI.

Among the apps that have banned are Tik Tok, SHarit, Kwai, UC Browser, Baidu map, Shein, clash of Kings, DU battery saver, Helo, Likee, YouCam makeup, Mi Community, CM Browsers, Virus Cleaner, Apus Browser, among others.
