As India moves towards the next phase of unlocking - it can be called Phase 2 or 2.0 of Unlock 1.0, which will start from July 1. But amid the increasing number of coronavirus cases, nothing will change in July. The Ministry of Home Affairs will come up with a detailed guideline later this month. But it cannot truly be called Unlock 2.
Schools, Colleges, Universities: CBSE, ICSE, ISC and many other exams to be held in July have either been canceled or postponed, with no information yet for the reopening of educational institutions. MHRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had earlier said that schools could start classes from mid-August after consultation with stakeholders. Although schools can resume official activities, depending on whether it is inside a control zone or not, classes are unlikely to resume in July.
Local Lockdown: Tamil Nadu, Assam, Mizoram are some states which are under lockdown till June 30. West Bengal has extended the lockdown in the contribution zone till 31 July. Punjab, Karnataka prohibiting the imposition of lockdown. Such local lockdown will also continue in Unlock 2.0.
International flights: According to the news, international flights could resume in late July as many countries have started objecting to Air India's monopoly in the Vande India Mission, where Air India entered the airspace of those countries But their airlines cannot enter Indian airspace. After bilateral agreements, India can start international flights to the US, UK, France and Germany.
