South East Asian countries love their nimble little scooters to zip through the hustle and bustle of the cities. The rumble of single-cylinder engines, large or small, dictates the roads. So they do also in Taipei, which is home to 2LOUD Custom, which means you get your scooter transformed into something like this. Featured here is a Honda Cub that started life with an 80cc engine but now, not only has a fancier personality but also a bigger engine. (Source: Bikeexif)

Star builder Ma ‘Max’ Yicheng and his partner Lu Yongyu have finished a streak of fantastic commercial builds already. This Cub started out as an early model 80cc scoot but now has a 190 cc Zongshen engine. The frame was modified to fit the larger powerhouse.

More than just modifying the frame, 2LOUD 'hardtailed' the CUb too, designing the changes digitally first. The exhaust is a custom-built stainless steel affair. “It’s not noisy while idling,” says Max, “but gives great performance.”

Up front, it gets forks from a SYM Wolf—a 250 cc commuter popular in Taiwan. 2LOUD shortened and polished them, then laced up a pair of 18F/17R aluminum rims, with stainless steel spokes and a SYM front hub. The front brake was upgraded with a caliper, master cylinder and whopping 300 mm disc, sourced from local brand Frando.

Up in the cockpit you’ll find Fando controls and reservoirs on both sides of the bars, since 2LOUD upgraded the clutch to a hydraulic system. It’s a neat setup too, with the clutch hose running inside the frame. The seat’s covered in two different leathers.

2LOUD picked a colour similar to Audi’s Nardo Grey to coat the bike in, right down to the hubs. These two have got to the most quirky scooter designs we've featured here and definitely instill a 'want one!' feeling. Read more about the American chopper-style Cub HERE
