Representative imageBENGALURU: Bescom and BWSSB officials visited several private hospitals in Bengaluru on Sunday, allegedly asking them to agree to share 50% of their beds with the government. “They threatened us that water and power supply will be disconnected to the hospitals...” heads of the private hospitals told TOI.
Bescom MD Rajesh Gowda said, “The teams visited private hospitals to check on beds available for Covid-19 patients. If private hospitals don’t fall in line, they will face action.” Official sources said the government will be forced to appoint an administrator in every private hospital to facilitate admission of Covid-19 cases.
