The Centre has further
relaxed restrictions in the
second phase of
unlocking with free intra and inter-state movement and
shorter night curfew.
According to the
new guidelines, the night curfew has been relaxed further and shall be in force from 10 pm to 5 am.
After extensive consultation with States and UTs, it has been decided that schools, colleges and coaching institutions will remain closed till July 31, 2020.
The new guidelines will come into effect from July 1.
The new guidelines also stipulate that
lockdown shall continue to be implemented strictly in the Containment Zones till 31 July, 2020.
Also, states and UTs, based on their assessment of the situation, may prohibit certain activities outside the Containment zones, or impose such restrictions as deemed necessary.
However, there shall be no restriction on inter-State and intra-State movement of persons and goods. No separate permission/ approval/ e-permit will be required for such movements.
The opening up of cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks and other such places which attract huge crowds will be decided separately based on the assessment of the situation.
