As for Dhoni, the wicketkeeper-batsman has been on a sabbatical from international cricket since India's 2019 World Cup exit. He was recently seen doing organic farming at his farmhouse in Ranchi.

The Ranchi born cricketer was expected to make a comeback during the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the COVID-19 pandemic has put the cash-rich event on a hold.

The CSK captain did participate in the team’s practice matches and left for Ranchi after all training camps for the eight franchises were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
