Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his monthly radio programme "Mann ki baat" on Sunday. The prime minister spoke on a range of issues including the ongoing Ladakh standoff and maintained that India knows how to safeguard its border.
Oil companies did not hike the petrol prices during the day breaking the 21-day-chain of successive hikes in petrol and diesel prices. Looking at the spike in the fuel price amid Covid-19 outbreak, Congress has planned nationwide protests from Monday. The party has been regularly attacking the Centre over the unchecked price hikes.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued Orange alert in Wayanad and Kozhikode districts of Kerala.
