In 2018, Ant Financial, a piece of Chinese major Alibaba, had put USD 210 million in Zomato for a 14.7 per cent stake. The food conveyance major as of late raised an extra USD 150 million from Ant Financial. 

"Chinese organizations are making benefits from here and assaulting the Army of our nation. They are attempting to get our territory. This can't be permitted," one of the nonconformists said. 

Another nonconformist said they were prepared to starve however would not work for organizations that have venture from China. 

In May, Zomato laid off 520 representatives or 13 per cent of its workforce in an immense conservation practice because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. 

There was no prompt response from Zomato and whether the dissenters were among the individuals who were conserved was not known.
