LUCKNOW: The state government on Saturday, announced issuance of e-marksheets and certificates to Board examinees, keeping in mind Covid protocols.
Declaring the UP board class X and XII results, deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said, examinees will get digitally signed marksheets from July 1. Due to the pandemic, it was difficult to print marksheets, so it was decided to provide soft copies to students. Hard copies will be available from July 15, he said.
Explaining the process, principal secretary, secondary education, Aradhana Shukla, said students needing an e-marksheet will have to apply to their school principals. Using the school’s login ID and password, the principal will download the digital marksheet from UP Secondary Education Board’s website.
While announcing the results, Sharma said, “During difficult times, it was a challenge to declare results on time. It was a herculean task to evaluate 2.82 crore answer copies in a time-bound manner, tabulate results and release them.” Close to 1.46 lakh teachers were involved in the exercise, he said.
Over 56 lakh candidates had registered for UP board class X and XII exam and close to 3.5 lakh candidates skipped the exam. Overall, 41.6 lakh had qualified.
