NEW DELHI:
MG Motor India has listed the upcoming
Hector Plus on its official website. The launch is likely to happen in mid-July.
Earlier in the month, MG Motor said it has commenced commercial production of its second offering
Hector Plus at its Halol-based manufacturing plant.
Hector Plus, developed on Hector SUV’s platform, is a 6-seater MPV with middle row captain seats. Hector Plus was showcased at Auto Expo 2020.
The vehicle comes with all-new headlamps, front grille, front and rear bumpers, new rear tail light design, and revised skid plates.
Hector Plus will be available in three variants and as many engine options.
Hector Plus will enter the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment where the likes of Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra Marazzo and Maruti Suzuki XL6 play across different price categories.
Price-wise, the new model should be costlier than Hector by about Rs 1 lakh. Hector, currently, comes at a price range of Rs 12.74 lakh to Rs 17.73 lakh (ex-showroom) across variants.
