MUMBAI: The BMC along with
NITI-Aayog, TIFR and other institutions will conduct a sero-surveillance of 3 wards-M West, F North, R North.
F North covers Matunga, Sion and Wadala that used to be hotspots, M West includes
Chembur and Tilaknagar, while areas such as Dahisar and Mandapeshwar come under R North, which currently has the highest daily growth rate.
10,000 samples will be collected randomly from slum and non-slum areas from participants above 12 years old. The teams will visit households and collect basic demographic information, contact history and co-morbidities.
