CHENNAI: DMK’s Cheyyur MLA Dr R T Arasu, who tested positive for Covid-19, was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Saturday.
DMK president M K Stalin hoped that the MLA would recover fast and resume work.
Another DMK legislator --Rishivandyam MLA Vasantham Karthikeyan -- is undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in a Coimbatore hospital.
Party’s Chepauk MLA, J Anbazhagan, died of Covid-19 on June 10.
Higher education minister K P Anbalagan and ruling AIADMK’s Sriperumbudur MLA K Palani have also tested positive for Covid-19.
