Five of eight former Congress MLAs who resigned from the membership of Gujarat State Assembly ahead of recently concluded four-seat Rajya Sabha elections joined BJP today. All five former MLAs have been inducted in BJP at BJP’s state headquarter Kamalam in Gandhinagar.

Congress MLAs who resigned ahead of Rajya Sabha elections in the state are Pravin Maru from Gadhada, Pradyumansinh Jadeja from Abdasa, Soma Koli Patel from Limbdi, J. V. Kakadia from Dhari and Mangalbhai Gavit from Dang.

Another three former Congress MLAs who resigned in the month of June are Akshay Patel from Karjan, Jitu Chaudhary from Kaprada and Brijesh Merja from Morbi.
