Noida/Ghaziabad: Noida reported 136 fresh
Covid cases on Friday, taking the total number of
cases to 1,946 in the district. According to the health bulletin released by the state government, there are 887 active cases in Noida now, with 1,039 recoveries and 20 deaths.
The state government’s report also mentioned that 69 people had been discharged from hospitals on Friday. In Ghaziabad, the government report said, 89 people were found to have Covid on Friday, while 15 patients were discharged after they recovered from the infection.
With this, Ghaziabad now has 1,267 Covid cases in total. There are 648 active patients, while 566 have been discharged so far. Additionally, 50 Covid-related deaths have been reported in the district.
Meanwhile, the TrueNat machine installed at MMG District Hospital to conduct Covid tests broke down on Friday.
A number of samples could not be tested through the format. Officials said a technician had been called and the machine is likely to be repaired and start functioning by Saturday.
It has been 18 days since the TrueNat machine arrived in the district. The machine was facing problems for the past few days, officials said. On Friday, it broke down.
