This is the moment pub customers taking part in an illegal lockdown drinking session were caught hiding from police in wardrobre.

They were discovered as officers raided a pub following a tip there was illicit boozing going on.

In the comical scenes, officers search the premises before coming across the wardrobe where the pair were hoping to avoid detection, the Mirror reports.

An officer says: "I'm going to check the wardrobe, I'm going to, I'm going to."

As the wardrobe is opened he tells his colleague: "Other side, other side.

"Right there's a person there, there's a person there."

Two people step out of the wardrobe and he tells them they shouldn't be living at the pub to which someone says "they're not"

He then asks them: "How many more? Just be truthful with me, I rather get it over and done with."

A woman's voice is heard saying it's just two of them.

The raid took place on April 24 and the pub, the Pitsmoor Hotel, was served with a prohibition order from South Yorkshire Police and Sheffield City Council.
