Nagpur: Upset over not having a TV, woman poisons self, two children

NAGPUR: A 32-year-old woman, Ayesha Baig, consumed poison and also made her son, aged about six years and 10-month-old daughter consume it on Friday at their New Ganesh Nagar residence in Wathoda. She was upset with her husband Naseem for not purchasing a television.
Naseem, husband of Ayesha, had gone to purchase a TV for the family when she had taken the drastic step. It's learnt that Naseem and Ayesha would have regular tiff over the issue of purchasing a television.
Naseem, who earned livelihood selling milk, wanted to purchase a television but was economically not sound to make the payments for it.
Wathoda police sources said Naseem and his neighbours rushed Ayesha and her two children to Government medical college and hospital where they are now fighting for life.
Offences of attempt to murder and also making a bid end own life was registered against Ayesha.
