
UP Board Class 12th Result 2020, UPMSP Intermediate Result 2020 Live Updates: The result for UP Board class 12 exams has been declared. The UP Education Minister said that the result this year is better than that of last year as the number of students passing the exams for both class 10 and class 12 students has gone up. While the minister is announcing the result, students are unable to check their results as the websites have been facing error due to heavy load. Alternatively, students can check their marks today at the official websites — upmsp.edu.in, upresults.nic.in, and upmspresults.up.nic.in at noon.
On the bright side, Anurag Malik tops class 12 exam with 97 per cent marks. The second rank is secured by Pranjal Singh and the third rank is secured by Utkarsh Shukla. Further, the pass percentage has also gone up from 70.2 per cent last year to 74.64 per cent this year. For class 12 results too, the pass percentage increased from 80.07 per cent to 83.31 per cent.
The board exams were concluded in March and one of the longest wait for the board results will be ending today – June 27 at noon. Of the total, 24.96 lakh students appeared in regular mode and over 70,000 students in private mode. Result for all these students as well as over 30 lakh
The delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic has kept 25.86 lakh students waiting for around three months. This is one of the highest numbers of intermediate or class 12 board exam students in the country.

To pass the board exams, students need to score at least 35 per cent marks in each subject individually as well as overall. Students who are not happy with their score can apply for re-evaluation or re-checking or even getting a photostat copy of answer scripts. Also, for those who failed in one or two exams, compartmental exams will be held. This is the first time can the compartment exams will be conducted for class 12 as well. While preparing for the boards, Malik shared, “I used to study for 12-14 hours a day and when the exams approached, it went up to 18 hours. I would take a break after completing a set number of chapters. Unless I achieved these targets, I did not budge.” This strategy he said, allows him to achieve every target including class 10 board exam results and now class 12 results too. Anurag Malik had English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as his subjects in class 12. He scored the highest marks in Physics - 99 out of 100.
Above 80 per cent girls who appeared in the state class 12 exams cleared their papers, while it was just 68.88 percent for the boys. Girls have mostly been performing better than the boys in most of the state boards conducted across the country.
Anurag Malik who emerged as the leading scorer from the 12th standard. Talking to indianexpress.com, Malik expressed his desire to succeed in life and become an IAS officer. "I want society as a whole to be more united and responsible. I can do that only if I am in a position of power. This is why I want to become a 'bada afsar' (a senior offer)," said the UP Board 12th topper.

Minutes after the result for class 10, 12 board exams were released, the official websites of UP Board — upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in — have stopped working. It seems to have been affected due to heavy load on the website.
Mahoba district has secured the maximum passing percentage this time. 89.24 per cent candidates cleared the exams from the district.

Riya Jain from Bhagpat emerged as the leading scorer from class 10 with 96.67 per cent marks, while Anurag Malik ranked one from the 12th standard with 97 per cent marks. The deputy chief minister stated that the toppers will be awarded with a prize money of Rs 1 lakh and a laptop each.
The mark sheets obtaining process to go digital this year. Students will have to register online at the website and schools will have respective ids of students. After e-verification and e-signature from the board, students to get the mark sheets from July 15. The link is likely to go live on July 1 for registration.
In class 12, 74.64 per cent students cleared the exam. This is higher than last year when 70.2 per cent cleared the exam.

Riya Jain from Bhagpat tops class 10 with 96.67% marks. Abhimanyu Verma scored the second spot with 95.53%. The third rank is obtained by Yogesh Pratap Singh with 95.33%.
In class 10, as many as 83.31 per cent of students passed the exam. This is higher than last year when 80.07 per cent students cleared the exam.
Dinesh Sharma, state education minister said, "While other boards could not complete exams. We have completed the exams in 15 days." He informed that the board has also started a helpline number to assist students
Students can apply for re-evaluation, re-totaling or can also get their answer scripts by demanding a photocopy. The fee for all these options increase by five times last year. As per the latest rules, to get one subject paper reevaluated, candidates will have to pay Rs 500 instead of Rs 100 earlier. With this, the UP Board’s reevaluation procedure is the costliest in the country.
In case a student fails in one or two exams, they will have an option to appear for the compartmental exam. However, in case they have failed in all five subjects, they will be marked as fail
