Coronavirus update: Worldwide coronavirus cases crossed 10 million-mark and the death toll jumped to 501,920, according to Worldometer on Sunday. India reported 19,906 new cases to take the tally to 530,997, according to Health Ministry.
The death toll in India stands at 16,128. India registered over 14,000 cases for the ninth day in a row. Meanwhile, Jharkhand became the first state after West Bengal to extend the lockdown till July 31. “Considering the seriousness of the situation, the state government has decided to extend the lockdown till 31 July,” Chief Minister Hemant Soren tweeted.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, all schools will remain closed till July 31.
