Coronavirus update: According to Worldometer data, cases in India have crossed the half a million mark. The total tally now stands at 490,401. Over half of the total cases have been reported from 10 cities and districts, according to Union Health Ministry data.

The death toll climbed to 15,301 with 407 new fatalities. This was the seventh day in a row that India registered over 14,000 cases. 

Coronavirus world update: Worldwide, at least 9,711,197 people have been confirmed to have coronavirus infections, more than 5,254,966 have recovered, and more than 490,978 people have died, according to Worldometer.
