Drone survey for hotspots in Pune

PIMPRI CHINCHWAD: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is planning to deploy drones to keep an eye on the Covid-19 hotspots and market areas.
Additional municipal commissioner Santosh Patil said that the rising number of patients prompted the move with the help of the police. “The idea is at a preliminary stage but we are giving it a serious thought. There has been a substantial rise in Covid-19 cases and keeping a watch on the containment zones and market areas will ease the burden on authorities,” he said.
