Union Health Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan chaired meeting of high-level Group of Ministers (GoM) on COVID-19 on June 27. The High Level GoM Meet in Delhi took place to discuss response, management of COVID-19 pandemic in country. “Our recovery rate has gone above 58% and around 3 lakh people have recovered from COVID19. Our mortality/fatality rate is near 3% which is very less. Our doubling rate has come down to near 19 days, which was 3 days before the lockdown,” said Dr Harsh Vardhan. External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey were also present in the meeting. It is noted that Minister of State for Home, Minister of State for Shipping and Chemical and Fertilizers are part of the GoM. Chief of Defence Staff is also part of it.
