Coronavirus Live Updates: Today is the 95th day of India’s nationwide lockdown, meant to curb the novel coronavirus pandemic. India is now among the five countries most affected by the outbreak, with a total of 5,08,953 infections and 15,685 deaths. India on Saturday saw another record spike of 18,552 new COVID-19 cases in a single-day, pushing the tally to 5,08,953, while the death toll rose to 15,685, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
The number of recoveries continued to surge with 2,95,880 patients cured so far, while there are 1,97,387 active cases, according to the updated official figures at 8 am. One patient has migrated.
Globally, there have been over 86.39 lakh confirmed cases of COVID-19. At least 4.59 lakh people have died so far. The United States, Brazil, Russia, India and the United Kingdom are the most-affected countries.Read More

Coronavirus in Uttarakhand LIVE updates | Uttarakhand's COVID-19 tally rises to 2,791
The number of COVID-19 cases in Uttarakhand rose to 2,791 on Saturday with 66 more people testing positive for the disease, the state health department said. Nainital reported the highest number of 29 cases, followed by Almora 11 and Dehradun eight, Bageshwar seven, Rudraprayag three, Tehri and Chamoli two each, and Pauri, Champawat, Uttarkashi and Udam Singh Nagar one each, it said. Gujarat COVID-19 cases rise by record 615 to 30,773; 18 more die
Gujarat on Saturday reported its highest single-day spike of 615 new COVID-19 cases, taking the overall count to 30,773, state Health department said.
With the death of 18 patients in the day, the number of fatalities has gone up to 1,790. (PTI)
33 central forces personnel among 204 fresh COVID-19 cases in J-K; count rises to 6,966
As many as 204 more people, including 33 BSF and CRPF personnel, tested positive for coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, taking the total infections in the Union territory to 6,966, officials said. They said 191 of the fresh cases were recorded in the Kashmir Valley, while 13 were in Jammu region. Thirty-two of them had recently returned to the Union territory. (PTI)
Coronavirus in Maharashtra LIVE updates | Maharashtra on Saturday registered the highest-ever single-day spike of 5,318 new COVID-19 cases, state Health department said. The state's total case count now stands at 1,59,133. With 167 deaths, the fatality count has gone up to 7,273, it said. Of the 167 deaths, 86 people died in the last 48 hours. (PTI)

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday visited a newly created COVID-19 care facility with over 10,000 beds in the national capital and reviewed arrangements. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accompanied Shah during his visit to the sprawling facility in south Delhi. During his visit, the home minister took stock of the preparedness of the facility, a home ministry official said. (PTI)
Nepal's COVID-19 tally crosses 12,000-mark
Nepal has registered 554 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide COVID-19 tally to 12,309, the health ministry said on Saturday.
Health Ministry Spokesperson Jageshwar Gautam said that 434 men and 120 women tested positive for COVID-19 during tests conducted at 22 health labs across the country in the past 24 hours. As of Saturday, coronavirus has spread to all 77 districts of Nepal. (PTI)
24 SP leaders booked for defying social distancing norms during the protest: Police
Twenty-four Samajwadi Party leaders, including its district unit president, were booked for allegedly defying social distancing norms while protesting against the fuel price hike, police said on Saturday. The party leaders had staged a demonstration here on Friday during which they flouted social distancing norms, Superintendent of Police S Anand said. (PTI)
