The Venue Already Has Over One Lakh Owners In Just A Year!

• 97,400 sales were domestic, 7,400 international.

• 1.0-litre turbo-petrol variant makes up 44 percent of Venue sales.

• 30 per cent sales (Mar-Jun 2020) have come from the recently launched BS6 Venue 1.5-litre diesel option. 

• 30,000 Venue units sold so far featured BlueLink connected car tech.

Ever since its launch in May 2019, the Hyundai Venue made a mark right from the off and has continued its strong momentum in the intensely competitive sub-4 metre SUV segment. And now, the carmaker has revealed that the Venue has garnered over 1 lakh sales in just one year of it being launched in India. Around 97,400 sales were domestic, with 7,400 sales in the international market.

 

Hyundai has also revealed some interesting facts about its recent milestone. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol option is the most popular variant, making up 44 percent of the Venue’s sales so far. Out of these figures, 15,000 sales of 1.0-litre turbo petrol variants were the ones paired to the 7-speed DCT transmission. 

Interestingly, another 30 percent of Venue sales came from the recently launched BS6-compliant 1.5-litre diesel variant in the period of March to June 2020. Originally, the diesel option for the Venue was a 1.4-litre CRDI unit at launch but it received the new BS6 1.5-litre diesel engine when BS6 norms kicked in. Aside from this, 30,000 units sold came with Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology. Only the SX (O) and SX DCT variants are offered with connected car tech as standard.

The Hyundai Venue is currently sold in the price range of Rs 6.70 lakh to Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) with five variants: E, S, SX, SX(O) and SX+ and three engine options. It takes on the likes of the  Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and the Mahindra XUV300.
