Garhwa, Dumka, Pakur are Covid-free, 9 other dists have less than 10 active cases

Ranchi: Jharkhand continued to register low numbers of coronavirus cases compared to the first 10 days of the month with 42 new patients detected from 11 districts on Thursday.
While Dumka, Pakur and Garhwa have become Covid-free with no positive case in the last 10 days, the number of active cases in nine districts have fallen to single digits as most patients have recovered and been discharged by Thursday.
On Thursday evening, Bokaro and Jamtara have eight active cases, Chatra, Godda and Saraikela have seven, Latehar and Palamu six each, Khunti has five and Sahebganj two.
The total number of cases in the state has risen to 2,261, of which 1,605 have recovered (including 30 on Thursday) and 644 are active. Twelve persons have succumbed to the viral infection.
Among the 42 cases found on Thursday, Giridih recorded eight, East Singhbhum six, Gumla, Hazaribag and Koderma five cases each, Deoghar four, Khunti three, Ranchi and Simdega two each and Palamu and Bokaro one each.
