
UP Board UPMSP 12th Result 2020 LIVE Updates: Over 56.11 lakh students will get the results for their class 10 and 12 exams conducted under the UP Board today. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will declare the result for the board exams at its official websites — upmsp.edu.in, and upresults.nic.in. Students who obtain at least 35 per cent marks with be considered qualified.

Students will be able to download the result from the websites which can act as provisional mark sheet but the original mark sheets will be released by respective schools later. It is likely to take some time as this year mark sheets will contain the name, school, and other details of students in both English and Hindi, as per the orders of Allahabad High Court.
An hour before the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) class 10 and 12 results were declared, state chief minister Yogi Adityanath greeted the students and said exams are a way to self-analyse your performance. The CM on Saturday conveyed his wishes on Twitter.
Last year 70.2 per cent students had cleared the class 12 and 80.7 per cent cleared class 10 UP Board exam. While most boards have increased their pass percentage drastically this year, it would be worth seeing if UP is able to live up to the expectations.

UP is among the few education boards which will be declaring results based on the exams conducted while for central and most state boards exams were halted due to the pandemic. In class 10, Gautam Raghuvanshi had topped the UP Board exams 2019 with 97.17 per cent marks or by scoring 583 out of 600.
After scoring 580 marks in 10th board exam, Riya Jain aims to pursue a career in teaching. “The credit goes to my school teachers and my elder sister Sweta Jain who used to help me in my preparation. I used to study 6 to 7 hours a day, following the suggestions provided by the school,” Riya said while talking to indianexpress.com
From the past two academic years, the school has been bringing up state toppers in board exams. “We hold extra classes for the board exams and apart from the academic knowledge also guide students on managing time during exams, how to answer questions and present the answer sheet. Also, after the strict anti-cheating norms put in place by the state government, deserving students are getting the ranks', said principal Rajesh Sharma while talking to indianexpress.com.
UP Board Class 10 topper Riya Agarwal and UP Board 12th topper are from the same school. It was noted that even in 2019, UP Board class 12 topper Tanu Tomar was from the same school.
Anurag Malik who is class 12 topper is from Shri Ram SM Inter College, Baraut scored 485 marks out of 500 in the UP board exams.

While talking to indianexpress.com, Malik expressed his desire to succeed in life and become an IAS officer. "I want society as a whole to be more united and responsible. I can do that only if I am in a position of power. This is why I want to become a 'bada afsar' (a senior offer)," said the UP Board 12th topper.
While class 12 result is active, the result of class 10 exams will be available from 3:30 pm. The students can also try alternative websites- results.gov.in, upmspresults.up.nic.in.
Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma has announced that the toppers will get Rs 1 lakh cash along with a laptop for each.
Total Number of students appeared was 27,72,656 and 23,09,802 passed the exam.

Total Number of girls appeared 12,81,842 and 11,18,914 passed the exam.

As the results were declared for class 10, 12 board exams, the official websites of UP Board — upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in — have stopped working. It seems to have been affected due to heavy load on the website. As many as 55 lakh students registered for the exam this year.
Keeping up with the usual trend, this year too, girls outperformed boys in both high school and intermediate exams. The pass percentage for class 10 is 83.31 while it is 81.96 per cent for class 12.

For conducting examination strictly without unfair means, 7783 examination centres were selected through online mode which was 517 less compared to the year 2019, 766 less compared to the year 2018 and 3631 less compared to the year 2017
In 2020, 33 students have secured under the top 10 positions in 10th board exams in UP.
This year in High School examinations 2020, 30 lakh 24 thousand 4 hundred and 80 and in Intermediate examinations 25 lakhs, 86 thousand, 3 hundred and 39 students i.e. in total 56 lakh 10 thousand 8 hundred 19 students registered for the exams
In class 12, 74.64 per cent students cleared the exam. This is higher than last year when 70.2 per cent cleared the exam.
