Ferrari SF90 Stradale Powerslides Next To Fiat 500L, New Promo Could Be Coming

Not everything happens at the Nurburgring these days, as Ferrari chose its own racetrack, the Fiorano in Italy, to highlight some of the magic of the SF90 Stradale.

Mind you, this was not the usual testing session where factory drivers tell engineers about the things that need further tuning after a few fast laps.

What we have here instead is the filming of a new promo, in all likelihood, as the plug-in hybrid supercar shared the space with a Fiat 500L camera car, which followed it around the circuit.

Until the Prancing Horse launches the exciting video, we will remind you that the SF90 Stradale is closely related to the F8 Tributo. It too features a mid-engine layout, although it comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system.

The powertrain comprises of a 4.0-liter turbocharged V8, making 769 HP (780 PS / 574 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, backed up by no less than three electric motors. Powered by the 7.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, two of them are located on the front axle and the other one is placed between the internal combustion unit and new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Pushing the throttle all the way down will unleash a combined output of 986 HP (1,000 PS / 735 kW), which allows the model to sprint from nought to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds and to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 6.7 seconds, en route to a 211 mph (340 km/h) top speed. The SF90 Stradale has a 15.5-mile (25-km) electric range, when powered by the front wheels exclusively.
