The Supreme Court was informed on Thursday that the remaining CBSE and ICSE Board examinations for classes X and XII, which were scheduled to be held in July, have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now as per the latest reports, the board is all set to announce class 10, 12 board results by July 15 based on the basis of internal assessment.
The Supreme Cout has also permitted CBSE to go ahead with its assessment scheme to award marks to students for cancelled exams. As per the CBSE's assessment scheme, the marks achieved by students in last three papers of board exams will be considered.
According to PTI, Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj has said that class 12 students will get chance to sit for optional exams to improve the score.

On Thursday, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) told the bench that it has also decided to cancel the exam and would broadly follow the government's decision on CBSE exams.
