Haryana: 4500 special police officers get extension till June next year

CHANDIGARH: Haryana home minister, Anil Vij on Friday approved extension of service for 4500 Special Police Officers (SPOs) working in the Police till June 2021. In Haryana, the state government had recruited ex-servicemen in the year 2016 and thereafter a monthly honorarium of Rs. 18,000 is being given to them.
Vij said that these SPOs have been deployed in various districts of the state to assist the police in maintaining law and order. They also assist police in their daily working routine.
