Corona cases have been increasing rapidly across the country since the lockdown was relaxed and businesses reopened. More than ten thousand cases are being reported every day, while the number of people dying from this epidemic is also increasing continuously. But according to the government data, the number of people recovering from this deadly virus in the country is also increasing.
In the midst of all this, there is such a figure which gives a bit of hearing but in reality, it is not so. According to government figures, until Thursday, the number of active cases in the country is 186514. Although active patients are not meant to be examined here, it is related to corona infection which is a matter of concern in the true sense.
According to the rules of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Government of India, 'active cases' means people who have been infected with a corona in the last 14 days and or have come in contact with an infected person during this period. This clearly means that the 186514 number of active people is those who have been infected in the last 14 days.
The worrying thing in this is that if the number of people recovering in terms of every day for the next 14 days is still low and the number of new cases is increasing daily.
If we look at the number of active cases according to the states, the highest number of them is 62369 in Maharashtra, 28839 in Tamil Nadu, and 26588 in Delhi, which is a matter of concern.
If we look at the statistics, the number of infected people is still more than those who recover daily and it is increasing every day.
