NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of India on Friday accepted the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Assessment Scheme presented before it.

CBSE infromed the apex court that the decision is pro students and students should be forced to opt for examination within a stipulated time after declaring the results. The students would be allowed to take a call whenever the Board would decide to conduct examination.

The ICSE has also told the highest court of the country that it would also follow the scheme framed by CBSE but the only difference it would have to give option to both class X and XII students to take test that would be conducted in future. Both the boards have assured the court that the results would be declared by July 15.

ICSE told SC that it would follow slightly different assessment scheme for awarding marks to students and it would be notified within a week.
