UPSRTC to use Covidcoat technology

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has allowed use of Covidcoat technology (antimicrobial coating on surfaces) at the AC waiting halls of bus depots in Lucknow on a free trial basis for three months.
It's a pilot use of the technology and, if found effective, will be used at other bus depots as well, said MD, UPSRTC, Raj Shekhar.
A private firm made a presentation on the technology on Wednesday. Centre's Science and Technology department has acknowledged that the antimicrobial coating on surfaces of iron, plastic, textile, floor, furniture and laptops is effective against infection.
The coating is effective for three months.
