Share market update: FMCG shares trade lower; United Breweries dips 3%

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 1.04 per cent down at 29801.1.

NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading trading lower in Friday's session.

Shares of United Breweries (down 3.12 per cent) , ITC (down 2.42 per cent) , VBL (down 2.25 per cent) , Emami (down 1.84 per cent) , Jubilant Foodworks (down -1.47 per cent) , United Spirits (down 1.41 per cent) , Hindustan Unilever (down 0.86 per cent) , Colgate Palmolive (India) (down -0.79 per cent) , Nestle India (down -0.51 per cent) , Dabur India (down 0.5 per cent) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS (down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 1.04 per cent down at 29801.1 around 02:21PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 65.25 points at 10354.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 215.34 points at 35057.44.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Ashok Leyland, ITC, Tata Motors, UCO Bank, SBI, Indian Oil Corp and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
