India scales new single-day spike record with 16,922 cases in 24 hrs; tally surpasses 4.7 lakh

According to the latest bulletin by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there has been a rise of 16,922 cases and 418 casualties across India in the past 24 hours. As a result, the overall national tally has surpassed 4,70,000. “A total of 4,73,105 positive cases have so far been reported in the country, which includes 1,86,514 active cases, 2,71,697 who have been cured/discharged and 14,894 deaths,” the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
