Share market update: IT shares mixed; Infosys down 2%

NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading on a mixed note in Thursday's session.

Shares of Just Dial (up 1.18 per cent) , Wipro (up 1.03 per cent) and Tata Consultancy (up 0.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Infosys (down 1.68 per cent) , MPhasis (down 1.26 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (down 0.99 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 0.96 per cent) , Mindtree (down 0.95 per cent) , Info Edge (India) (down 0.81 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (down 0.27 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty IT index was trading 0.44 per cent down at 14517.75 around 12:03PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 35.90 points at 10269.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 122.94 points at 34746.04.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, SBI, Bank of Baroda, GAIL, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, ITC and RBL Bank Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
