Karnataka: Over 8 lakh students appeared for SSLC 10th exam

Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, over 8 lakh students appeared for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or 10th standard examination in 2879 examination centres across Karnataka. Over a lakh employees of education, police, health and social welfare departments ensured smooth functioning of examination centers.

Education Minister S. Sureshkumar visited several schools in Bengaluru today to oversee the arrangements. In the border districts of the state, arrangements were made to receive students from Kerala and Maharashtra. The transport departments of neighbouring States had facilitated transportation for their students.

The authorities checked the students at the examination centers for any COVID symptoms. In Koppal and other places the teachers were seen encouraging the students taking the exams. the students taking the exams.
