Sonu Nigam claps back at Bhushan Kumar’s wife

After Sonu Nigam alleged Bhushan Kumar of maligning his name for speaking out against favouritism in the music industry, the music mogul’s wife Divya Khosla Kumar posted a video captioned "The Bitter Truth," claiming that the singer was selling "lies and deceits."
Terming Sonu’s claims as a "campaign", in a series of allegations against the singer, Divya said, "I'm even seeing people being able to sell lies and deceits with their strong campaigns. Sonu Nigam is the kind of people know how to play with the minds of the audience."

Taking a swipe at his allegations about the music label not welcoming talented outsiders, she hit out saying, "You haven’t introduced any talent into the industry."

Khosla called Nigam "thankless" for forgetting everything T-Series had done to back him up. She said, "T-Series gave you break in the industry, pushed you ahead. If you had this much problem with Bhushan, then why didn’t you speak up earlier? Why are you doing this for publicity today? I have directed so many videos of your father, for which he was always so thankful. But some people are thankless."

Not one to keep mum against the allegations, Sonu hit back at Divya by sharing her 11.50-minute video on his handle and captioned it saying, "Presentttttting Divyaaaaa Khoslaaaaa Kumaaaaar. I think she forgot to open her comments. Let's help her in that."

The singer took a jibe at Khosla, who opted to block any comments on her social media posts. She is among the many Bollywood stars who have restricted comments due to the trolling they have been receiving in the events unfolding post Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise.

The actor’s death by suicide on June 14, has lead to the industry grappling with criticism surrounding topics of ‘nepotistic’, ‘groupism’ and going as far as claiming that the involvement of a ‘movie mafia’ in crushing outside talent.

Nigam posted a video on Facebook on June 18, claiming that there are "bigger mafias" in the industry who call the shots on which artiste should and should not work on a song. In the video, he had claimed that the music industry is controlled by two companies, without taking any names.

The 46-year-old singer had also said that if this culture continues, people would hear about suicides from the music industry as well.
