NEW DELHI: Around 53 stocks rose to touch their 52-week highs on NSE in Thursday's session.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs were Alok Industries, Andhra Cements, Century Extrusions, Birla Tyres, Jindal Poly Films , Umang Dairies, Ruchi Soya Industries, Sequent Scientific and Ruchi Infrastructure.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 30.45 points up at 10335.75 on Thursday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Overall, 35 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 15 were trading in red.

In the Nifty 50 index, GAIL, ITC, Hero MotoCorp, Grasim Inds. and Vedanta were among top gainers, while Bharti Infratel, Eicher Motors, Infosys, M&M and BPCL were trading in red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 103.26 points up at 34972.24.
