Man uploads hate video on social media, arrested

Rajkot: A youth from Bharwad community was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly making a video in which he made inflammatory statements inciting hatred between Bharwad and Koli communities in Kalawad of Jamnagar district.
Police said the accused, identified as Lalo Mewada (23), a resident of Makrani Sanosara village of Kalawad taluka, had allegedly uploaded the video on WhatsApp and Social media on June 18.
“There has been an age old enmity between the members of Bharwad and Koli communities in Navagam village of Thangadh taluka in Surendranagar district. Mewada allegedly tried to incite hatred between the two communities through his video,” said Deepak Dhol, inspector with Surendranagar local crime branch.
